The Northern Virginia FM Association is an organization dedicated to providing superior FM repeater service to Amateurs in the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan area.
Since it's formation in 1971, the Association has operated superior wide coverage FM repeaters that are open for the use of all amateurs. Members enjoy the added benefit of autopatch use and other special repeater features. See the membership page for more information on joining the NVFMA.
The NVFMA is an ARRL affiliated club, and supports the ARES/RACES/SKYWARN organizations in the Metro DC area.

The annual membership renewal drive is under way. To renew your membership or to join the Association, please complete the membership form and send it to the PO Box.

On Saturday, 14 July, Bruce Freund (K7BC) led a work party to the Tyson's site to do preventative maintenance on the supports for the antenna mounts. He was assisted by Mike Davis (K4MDD), Art Pond (KD4FBT), Mike Byorick (KE4MLT), Ray Anderson (KJ4CNN) and Tom Azlin (N4ZPT).
The installation of the D-Star repeater system at Tyson's Corner is progressing. There is now digital voice on 2 Meters, 70 centimeters, and digital voice and data on 1.2 GHz.
